How do I add a soundcloud track or playlist?
  • First you must navigate to the soundcloud.com and find the track or playlist you want to add.
  • Click on the share button under the comment box.

  • Go to the Embed tab and click on the middle picture shown below.

  • Copy the code under the code box.
  • Embedded Code
  • Navigate to the edit profile page.
  • Under Soundcloud Embedded Track paste the code you copied.

  • The track should now show up in the directory under your listing and under the music tab.
How do you create an event?
  • You have to login first to create an event.
  • Navigate to your profile.
  • Click on the Events tab on your profile.
  • Here you can add an event if you are on your own profile.
  • Fill out the fields and click submit event to add your own event.
How do you sign up?
  • You can navigate to our signup page from the top of the site or through the hamburger menu on mobile.
  • Next you can choose the type of sign up depending on your specific needs.
  • For Artist, Venue, and Resource signup fill out the fields provided and press the register button to signup and you are done.
  • Guest signup is different and can be done with a Twitter, Facebook, or Google+ account.
  • On the guest signup page you can choose the method of signup that you want and it will redirect you to authorize the account.
How do you message another user?
  • In order to message someone you have to be logged in first. There are two ways to message someone.
  • Through Directory
    • You can message someone through the directory which can be found on the search page.
    • Under each listing there is a message button that allows you to message the user directly.

  • Through profile
    • You can also message a user through their profile.
    • After navigating to the desired user’s profile you can press the message button to message them directly.

How do you look up an event?
  • In order to look up an event navigate to the Live Local Shows page.
  • From here you can find events by date, searching, or by location. You can also change the view type to suit your preference.
How do you upload a video?
  • You have to login first to edit your profile.
  • Navigate to your profile by clicking on your profile picture in the menu.
  • Click on the video icon on your profile.

  • Click on the Add Videos button and you can choose to upload your own video or paste a URL.
How do you upload a picture?
  • You have to login first to edit your profile.
  • Navigate to your profile by clicking on your profile picture in the menu.
  • There are three different ways to upload a picture directly.
  • Image Tab
    • Click on the image icon.
    • Profile Gallery
    • Here you can upload photos to be shown in a gallery on the image tab.
  • Profile Picture
    • Click on the portrait circle on your profile and select upload photo.

  • Cover Photo
    • Click on the plus icon at the top and select upload photo.
How do you edit your profile?
  • You have to be login first to edit your profile.
  • Navigate to your profile and click on the gear icon. This will open a menu next click on the edit profile option.

  • From here you can edit the different profile fields for your profile. In order to show up in the member directory list you have to complete most of the fields.
  • When you’re done updating your profile you can scroll down and click on the update profile button.
How do you look up an artist, resource, or venue?
  • You can look for users by typing in their name in the search bar on the homepage.
  • You can also go to the search page where there is a directory of artists.
How do I get back to the homepage?
  • To get back to the homepage click on the Localgigspot logo at the top of the page.
Why is my profile is not showing up in the directory?
  • In order for your profile to show up on the directory you have to complete a certain percentage of your profile.
  • This can be seen in your profile under your cover photo.

  • Once complete the bar will fill up all the way.
Why won't my image or video upload?
  • There are size restrictions on the different types of images and videos on the website.
  • Profile and Cover images must be less than 953.7mb.
  • Images in the image tab must be less than 200mb.
  • Videos uploaded to the video tab must be less than 200mb.
How do I change my settings and notifications?
  • You have to login first to edit your account settings.
  • Navigate to your profile page.
  • Click on the gear icon and under the menu select My account.

  • From here you can change information pertaining to your account or delete it.
  • Once you are done click the update button and you are done.
How do I leave a review?
  • You must be logged in to leave a review.
  • Navigate to the profile you want to leave a review on.
  • Click on the review tab on the profile.
  • Review User Profile
  • Next click on write a review for this user located under the User Rating
  • Fill out the stars, the subject, and your review. Make sure to fill out all three fields highlighted below.

  • Click submit review and you are done.
